Have you considered what God's first words were to Adam after his fall in the garden?
"WHERE ART THOU?"
It wasn't an accusatory, "What did you do?" Adam knew.
It wasn't a guilt trip, "How could you do this to me?" Adam's new "gift of knowledge" included treacherous guilt.
It wasn't judgment, "Wait till your father gets home!" Adam knew he was lost.
It wasn't condemnation, "I am so ashamed of you." Adam's own condemnation caused him to cover up.
but
"WHERE ART THOU?"
Consider the beautiful implications of this question:
1) You are lost.
2) God is seeking you.
Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10
